Hey guys...

Hey guys this is my first post ever on these forums. I have been viewing these forums for a couple of days now. Anyways; i got a couple of questions to ask you fella's.

I and my dad (Journyman Carpender) are almost done building a Dual 12" Subwoofer box that is custom made to fit into the rear well. I heard some stuff about Dynamat. I was woundering if you guys put that inside or outside your subwoofer boxes.

What Exactly does Dynamat do?

Another question i have is; I have the Concept cc1002 AMP.
Specs:
4 Ohm Stereo Power (RMS): 100W X 2
4 Ohm Mono Power (RMS): 300W X 1
2 Ohm Stereo Power (RMS): 170W X 2
2 Ohm Mono Power (RMS): 500W X 1
Signal-to-noise ratio: 100 dB
Frequency Response: 5 Hz - 50 KHz
Total Harmonic Distortion: 0.05%
Input Sensitivity: 200mV-4V
Length: 11.82"
Width: 11.66"
Height: 2.37"
Continuously variable 0 - 18dB Bass Boost
Built-in continuously variable 18dB per octave crossover, from 50Hz to 250Hz
Platinum Connectors

Alright; is this amp any good?

Right now i have 2 12'' sony Xplod subs. They are rated at 140 rms and 450 peak. (i think so). I am gonna wire them in Parelell Circuit. They are 4 ohm speakers so if i wired them parelell; bridged mono they would be 250 RMS each; correct? Will this blow the speakers because they are not rated for that high of rms?
Well anyways thanks allot for the help.

Dynamat is a sound deadner material, works great for stoping rattles, buzzing, etc., caused from either bass or just road vibrations. I would recomend using it with a sub install. You can buy it any good stereo shop. Will make your music sound better also, inside of course.
I havent ever actually put it in a sub enclosure, but maybe some one else has.
As for the Amp, dont know, never heard of it. But your best bet is to start out low and work your way up. Meaning less wattage at first, listen and go from there.
Also, a good rule of thumb is, you will blow a sub 100 times faster with distorting it than you will by overpowering it.

dynamat is applied to the bare sheetmetal of the car. you have to remove all the plastic covers and clea the area to have the dynamat applied to. if you buy dynamat extreme all you will have to do is cut it and stick it on, if you buy dynamat original, or super you will have to heat the dynamat with a heat gun in order to make it stick. i recommend dynamat extreme. you pick it up from any local Best Buy and a 3 sq. ft. roll costs about $35 if you have any other ?? about installing it just ask

I'd use Dynomat if you have bad road noise, rattles, or both. You can also put it around the sud to prevent air from escaping the box. The numbers on the amp are good and if the reviews are good it should be fine. The weak spot in your system is probubly the subs. They should hold up fine to that amp, but Sony speakers are not known for their quality in the car audio biz. BTW, what are you running for full range? Amped?

Well

In the front i have Factory 4x6's... the back 6x9's are Pioneer Premier. My cd deck is Pioneer Premier DEH-P4300. 50x4 peak.
I am just running the Speakers off the HU. On Friday I get paid 400 bux.. Canadian. Which is around $260usd. I am Planning on buying some 4x6's. I think they are Rocksford.. 110 bux. Are they any good? I dont remember the model # or anything. Also should i get another amp? I am just running 8awg power wire. Will it make a big difference on the 6x9's and the 4x6s? I will have around 250 to spend on the Amp. Candian. Can i get a decent amp for the 4x6's and 6x'9s? Or should i just amp the front speakers? Thanks, Mike.

If your gonna be spending the big bucks (on two amps and such) I wuold think you might wanna go for some kick panels with a component set. I have an infinity 6.5 set and I really like them ,thought it is a little bit more than 4x6 (250$ with kicks compared to $110).......though Ive never heard a good 4x6 so its possible that I totally blew my money.

Kicks sound good though. Its an option.

So..

I dont really like / want to order anything off of the internet. No credit cards and such. So you think i should buy another amp? For my 4x6's and 6x9's? I believe i can hook up 3-4 amps to the back of my HU. Would a 50rms x 2 be good enough?
Is mtx a decent amp maker? MTX T4112 2/1 for 189.00 Canadian on sale.. its 50x2 4 ohm. Will i still be able to use the 8awg wire.. i dont wanna re wire..
