I've heard mixed reviews about Cerwin Vega subs, but the price sure is hard to beat. If you've listened to it and liked it, then pick it up. The only negative comments I've heard have been about the sound that they produce, so if you like what you hear, there shouldn't be a problem. It's not easy finding a decent quality name brand sub for that cheap.

It depends on what line it is. I love the Vega series subs, and if they didn't need such ungodly amounts of space, I'd have a pair in my IROC.

It all depends on what you need. Do you really need a 15" sub. Room is hard to find in thirdgen's esp. if you have T-tops. Do you like the quality of the Vega's? Go with whichever sub fits your idea of a good sounding sub. Wheather it be Road Gear (well maybe not that extreme) to Audiobahn and JL. Price will most likly be invalved in this decision so make a budget and get the sub in that price range that sounds best to you. Don't buy a sub becouse it's on sale, buy it becouse you like it and then you won't need to upgrade later.
Also do you know of any f-body clubs around St. Louis? I've been looking for one, but there are none around here.
