jensen car audio is OK, when i first got my camaro i changed all the stock speakers to jensen speakers, which were all right. They were alot better than stock, but when i got my rockford fosgate speakers, i switched the jensen's and there was a big difference. The high's were a lot crisper with the rockford's, and the bass output was tighter, but id say they were the same as far as thump. For the money they arent bad, if you're interested ill sell you my jensen 6x9's and the deck ive got-

The one thing where you probably shouldn't pay any attention to anyone's opinion, including mine, is when it comes to speakers.
Things like CD players and amps really don't sound that much different from brand to brand...but speakers really do.
Just choose a speaker that you like the sound of, and you'll be happy. And speakers don't have watts, so don't pay any attention to the BS numbers that are tacked onto speakers. If you do plan on ordering speakers from a catalog, make sure you can return them if you don't like the sound.

Jensen sits between quality stuff like Alpine & Kicker, and crap like Pyramid and Legacy. I'm quite unimpressed with their head units, and their speakers sound like *** . But, their amps are fairly decent although I've been happier with similarly priced stuff from Pioneer, Sony, etc.

I was not too impressed by my jenson 6x9's (3 way), but then again they are reasonably priced. I had a 10' jenson sub and liked it, bassed better than my cheap MTX's. Jenson Head units = BAD!! Never buy one! But, like chris said, don't take anyone elses opinion, listen to some yourself.
Oh, and I am now using a 300watt jenson amp to push a kenwood sub. $99 and plenty of power.

I'll agree with Jim85IROC on this one. Personally i think their head units are junk, and speakers are purely a matter of preference. But lots of my freinds back in high school ran jensen amps to power their subs, and honestly they aren't half bad. Its still not a high dollar amp, but they are pretty darn good for the money, and the power isn't ridiculously overrated either. Bottom line: Would i power subs in my own car with one? Its not out of the question.

Im convinced "since just purchasing a Shiz load on jensen stuff" that jensen is allright speaker/amp wise. About 3 months ago I was looking for a new head unit and compared all the ones in the 200$ range including the jensen double din like in my blazer. There was one model jensen head unit that sounded excellent but it was only 10$ cheaper than a kenwood deck that had a hidden/detachable face.
I suggeet you try before you buy so you dont get stung.

i had a 500 watt jensen amp it was horrible, didnt push nothing, my 300 watt pioneer sounded better, and the jensen overheated in a matter of 30-45 mins, the head unit my feiend had died after about 8 months, and didnt like the sound of the unclear 6x9's...
cheap price, cheap audio...
