Need help quick, Jim, Polecat? Anyone?

Ok i have a couple other posts on the same subject but they seem to wander and or die off and i need to know quickly. Ok. Here is the situation. Ok i know nothing about ohms, so here goes. I am going to buy 2 Kicker Solo Baric 12in L7. I am going to run them on a Rockford Punch 800.2 .
Ok heres what i need to know. What ohm woofer to run with this amp and how to run it(as in bridged, @ 4ohms, @ 2ohms?) Thanks. Let me know. Speediness is greatly loved.

There's no clear cut answer here. The Rockford is only rated to play into 4 ohms bridged, but I've run them as low as 1 ohm bridged and they totally hammer like that, but they're going to be short for this world. I'd say that you can run 2 ohms bridged pretty safely, but it'll be even safer (but not as loud) at 4 ohms bridged. You should talk to the place you bought the amp from and see what they say, because they're the ones that are going to warranty it if you blow it up.

Well, I would go for less heat the better. I heard mention of a exponential ratio with heat. As heat goes up, the life expectancy of some components reduces at a exponential rate. More power means more heat. That and if you smoke the amp, some companies have a way of figuring out how it was abused and might not warranty it more than once (first time might be a freebie.... next time is a "sorry, abuse). So don't buy all this stuff thinking you can abuse your amp and then when you blow it up you have to totally redesign your system to make it less likely to break.

If you want to run it 4 ohm mono, get two DVC 4 ohm woofers.

If you want to run it at 2ohm mono load, get two DVC 2 ohm woofers.

Thanks A lot for the stright forward answer.

So to sum it it. To run 2 kicker 12in L7's on a rockford fosgate punch 800.2 at 400 W X 2 @ 4 Ohms Bridged RMS i should get the DVC 4 ohm speaker? Right?
