I haven't done it yet but im planning on putting a 1/2 din EQ under my head unit. I don't know what type of EQ you wanna run but i think they run off a set of RCAs, preferablly a summed set of pre-outs. The EQ im lookin at is a Alpine unit and all im going to use to hook it up is my 4V sub preout. Its not actually a sub preout until you tell it to be one though. Also the EQ has a DC-DC converter so all the preouts from the EQ are also 4V.

If was very easy. my only problem was that the trim ring was a bit of a squeeze to get on, but nothing bad. just pick up Metra's mounting kit, it includes a bezel to allow a single din and a 1/2 din unit. i hooked one set of pre outs to my eq. by doing this, however, you must now use the eq's fade and volume instead of the one on the HU

Here is a pic of my Clarion with AudioControl 3.1. I made a flat piece out of textured ABS plastic for mounting. I also had to lengthen the wires going to the trans. shifter.

deadtrend, I think your EQ and mine are exactly the same, except under different brands. I've seen one that looks like one in this guy's Stratus. It had a different brand tho.

89V6FBIRD: Did those Pioneers fit nicely into position? Cause i can get a pair for about 40 bucks and i was wondering if they sound good and if they fit. I was thinking about getting a pair of Cerwin-Vega plates or Infinity plates but i was wondering if those pioneers were any good. Thanks.

I love the features but sometimes I get some noise from it. It's not all the time but every once in a while. Yeah it's a good bang for the buck EQ. I'll hang onto it for a little while and then ditch it for prob the Audio Control 4.1. or something better. I'm as bad as a woman moving around furniture in the Living Room....never statisfied.

probably the same, i dont even use it anymore .... i hated it acutally. It lowers the Signal to noise ration to 87 when i can have 105 on the headunit (that doesnt light up anymore .. ug) and have my amps control the level of the bass and all. Plus, when i hit the brake or turn signals, it would cut the music out for a little 1/4 of a second. And that just got on my nerves. I dunno, im out of the buying radio parts stage and going performance parts right now. In a year ill get new stuff ...... i think.
