I'm in the process of installing a New Kenwood MP3 player and have run into a problem. I wired it all up and the first question I have is for the deck illumination. According to my haynes manual the factory deck had 2 wires that handled illumination duties, a brown wire that was for DIM Signal and a grey wire that was for panel light. The New deck has only 1 wire to handle this duty. I went for the brown wire, was that the right choice? I fired it up and everything was working ok until I turned up the volume, then the deck cuts out and flashes OFF CODE, then comes back on and does the same thing untile the volume is turned right down.The kenwood book has no explaination of the OFF CODE that flashes before the deck cuts out. Is the deck screwed up or do I have something wired wrong?
