My subs don't hit as hard as they should

I have a set of 12" soundstream SPL's powered by Lanzar Vibe 430 amp. They are in phase yes. This is a 4 channel amp. Does anybody know how to wire this amp to make these speakers bump.

Well...If you don't know the basics of hooking it up, you probably shouldn't.
I can give you the basics.
1. A four channel amp isn't gonna do you any good for 2 subs if it isn't bridgable into two channels.
2. If the amp doesn't have a crossover(seperates the frequency of sound)you need to get one, pumping the highs into subs is not going to sound good and its a waste of power. Get a crossover so you can amp just the low end to the subs.
3.Put the subs in a sealed or ported box. They wont bump unless they have a confined volume of air to push around.
4. Make sure your amp wire from the battery is a low guage wire, so it the amp can draw sufficient power.

Hooking it up
1. There should be a wire directly from the battery to the amp. Make sure to put in an in line fuse.
2. Pull out the head unit and check for a wire that is "hot" when the sterio is on and goes off when the sterio is off. This is called the led wire I think. It just tells the amp to go on only when the sterio is on. Stop the amp from draining your battery.
3. The Ground. If you take off the back panel in the trunk, You can find a ground used by the hatch motor assembly. Or you can drill and make your own.
4.Wire the speakers. Use a low gage wire, or RCA cords, if you can.

I can't think of anything else you would tell someome about hooking up subs in a car, Other than, that I found, Cheap things sound cheap.

I can either run 4ohms 2X200rms or 2 ohms 4X175rms. Is there any way to run
it 2 ohms into just my subs?

My system meets all the requirements of that you listed. The amp is bridged to 4 ohms at 2X400watts max. It has a built in crossover. I run 4 gauge wire. I also have a sealed box.

Actually it's power rating is 2 x 450 Watts Peak @ 4 Ohms Bridged. Plenty enough to power your subs. How do you have them wired? Is the amp bridged? Bridge each side of the amp so you have 2 channels and then just run one sub off each of the channels.

I have it bridged. That's about all I know.

waht kind of sound are you trying to get?
the Soundstream SPL subs were designed for competetion only and don't have the greatest sound quality, playing best at 60hz or below.
most music isn't recorded that low, so they may not be the right subs for your system.
also you said you have a sealed box, but didn't mention the size, you may have too small or too large of a box. the SPLMules want 0.83 cubic ft with the sub in, so 1cubic ft box is called for.
given the amp that you've got, I'd run alpine R Type 12's or JLaudio 12w3-d4's

optima wheels,

MBQuart dkd146 4x6,
MBQuart Q series components in custom plates in rear pillars
2 JLAudio 500/2 sub amps
2 JLAudio 300/2 mid/high amps
2 12" soundstream SPLMules in 4 cubic ft box
audiosource 3.1 control center/EQ
154.1db in 1-2 street class
