Q Logic Sub Box

The thing that i am talking about is the custom enclosure that fits perfectly in thridgens. They are kinda costly but they look to be built out of plastic. Does anyone know how good these sound or how firm they are. They look very nice but I would rather have something functional then nice looking.

The box is made out of particle board, not mdf board and the cover plastic thing rattle's no matter how well you put it on. I don't even use mine because it sounds so horrible. The box fits good though and if you have small airspace subs they should sound nice. I just sprayed undercar rubberizer in the box and put polyfill in to make up for the box bieng made out of particle board. If you can get it for less than $200 it's probly worth it, but it it's over that just have a custom shop do the job. It will be thicker and sound better..

I have one from exciter sound. It is made of MDF and the new ones are carpeted. It came in 2 peices and it is about 2.9 cu/ft total. I like it!

I was looking for a smaller box. I know that the q logic ones have the right amount of space for the subs i am looking at. I was hoping that they would be made of mdf and wouldnt have rattling problems. Does anyone else know of a place that sells a small box that will fit nicely in the well. The size i am looking for is between .6-.75 cu ft

I have the Q-Logic box in my Camaro and it does not rattle at all. The box is very heavy duty....you will not be able to blow it out with subs even though it is made out of particle board. It is sealed and carpeted and the top fiberglass cover makes it look professional. I am running 1000W amp pushing 2 12in Earthquake subs, the box is rock solid. Fill it with polyfill and it will accominate almost any 12in sub you can think of.

A guy that works here with me has one in his '94 Formula, and has 2 Solo 10" woofers off an Kicker IX1302 amp, and it sounds awesome.

Qlogic makes a couple of 10" tube enclosures that would drop down in to the trunk very nicely. Your choice is .65ft or 1.15ft.

I saw those as well. I wasnt sure if they would fit into the well or not. Esp the larger 1.5 cu/ft one. I am not sure if I want to go with 1 10" or 2 10" yet. I have an amp that produces the best results at 4 ohm mono. I thought I could best achieve this using 2 dvc 4ohm 10" subs

The issue with a particle board box vs a mdf box is not "blowing" the particle board box out, but that the particle board wil flex some, and any flex in a box will result in less bass.

Just my .01 (I can't afford a full .02 anymore )

Here's a pic of a Q-Logic in a 4th gen T/A. It looks almost identicle to the 3rd Gens. I had one in my T/A and I really liked it. I never had any problems with and wouldn't have a problem with owning one again except I have 3 12's in my car which is why I got rid of it in the first place.
