Sub enclosure space

Sub enclosure space

how do i find out the cu ft my box needs to be, i looked in the instructions and the only thing i found was 0.072 cu ft, thats not right is it?, i have 2 12" pioneer ts-w303c's, also does it matter what shape i make the box?

Shape willnot matter much. It sounds like .75 cubic feet is what you need for each of your subwoofers. Be careful, this is .75 cubic feet net. so you have to account for speaker displacement and the enclosure material. In a gross measurement that would be the entire volume displacement Length x Width x Height.

If I were going to build a box for you speakers I would go with a sealed enclosure that is about 1.75 to 2 cubic feet gross.

ok first u said .75, then 1.75 ta 2, wuts up? and one the web page it says Low-Q Design for use in Small Sealed Box (1.5 cubic foot recommended)

I just bought a pair of the same TS-W303C's; Pioneer recommends 1.5 cu. ft. of airspace for a sealed enclosure, 1.65 cu. ft. for a ported enclosure with a port tube size of 3" x 8.5".
