wiring subs
whats the difference between wiring stereo or mono or parallel. is stereo just 1 sub per channel? with 4 ohm subs, can you wire them into an amp at a 1 or 2 ohm setting? what is the best way to get good sound with thumping bass?

To wire in stereo you have to have at least two speakers. One speaker would get the left half of the stereo signal and the other would get the right half.
If your gear allowed for a mono output, then each sub would get the exact same signal. In some cases a mono signal will allows two subs to reinforce each other better and could be louder.
If you have 2 (4 ohm) subs you can wire them to a 2 (or 4) channel amp normally, or in series, or in parallel. Normal would present each amp channel with a 4 ohm load. Series would be a 8 ohm load. Parellel would be a 2 ohm load.
Generally, the lower load an amp is presented with, the more power it puts out. If your amp is stable at 2 ohms BRIDGED MONO (which is not the same as 2 ohms bridged stereo) they you may want to wire your subs in parellel. It not, stick with the normal wiring.
