diagnosed stereo whine, need expert opinion please help!

1st of all i used to have a stereo whine with jvc lx3 cd player and a couple amps. I then put msd ignition components in my iroc with msd wires and noise got worse cause of the 6a. I installed the noise capacitor that msd sells and every bit of noise in the system was gone! Then a year later (3 months ago) my whine was back and i didn't change anything. I got a new four channel soundstream rubicon and new soundstream components and noise remains. Let me just clear up some issues before going on, All my grounds are good I'm running 4gauge power and ground to dist. blocks. I thought the msd cap might be bad so i disconnected it and the ignition whine was worse, so i reconnected it and proved that it's still working. I installed a 30amp dc noise filter to the msd power and that did nothing, so i took that off and tried the filter to the power of my cd player (constant and switchable) still had noise. I ran a 4gauge ground wire directly to battery ground and still have noise. I then removed the rca cables to the amp while it was on and the noise stopped, so i don't think it's the power or ground. My rca cables are not run next to any power wires nor are they crappy cables, they are shielded and were new. Still can't figure out what the problem is it's obviously coming through the rca's so is it possible that i need a new cd player? Need expert opinion here thanks
Sean

What brand RCAs are you using?

One possibility is your spark plug wires are needing to be replaced.

Have you tried muting the amps to see where the problem is at?

try unplugging the RCAs from your head unit. See if you still hear the noise. I would also try another head unit. If you are running a Rubicon sounds like you have a very nice system minus the JVC.
Sounds like you are running a seperate amp for the Mids and Highs so go with a higer end pre amp main unit, that too could cut out engine noise. In the end if nothing works remember that multiple amps and distribution blocks sometime make it very hard to rid the engine noise.

Reground your amps to one common point in the back and make sure the ground is very clean and very tight.

It just surprises me that you got alternator whine through your RCAs. RCAs tend to pick up noise, but the only time I've seen them pick up alternator noise is when they were run right next to power cable.

surprised me too!
not all stereo whine is caused by bad ground or power by rca's

ok i figured out the real problem, the knick in the rca's was a problem, but i figured out why the engine whine was there, I was using the small wire thats attatched to the all rca's as a remote wire, i figured that since the remote signal is a charged signal that, that was the culprit, since when i changed my rca's i used this wire as a ground coming from my head unit to my ground block to my amps, i ran the remotes on the passenger side of my car with the 4gauge power, so rca's and speaker cables on drivers side and power and ground on the passenger side, make sure not to run the remote signal with your rca's and speaker wires!
