Ok i have a buddy that wants me to wire him a sub and a amp to the factory cd player in his beetle (new one) and i am pretty sure that they don't have preouts so i guess i am going to have to use a line converter or something but i don't know where to get them or how to use them. So any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated . Thanks

line converters can be found at just about any place that sells car audio, including places like kmart, walmart, circuit city, crutchfield, etc. basically what they do is take the speaker level outs from the deck and convert them to the level of signal an amp can handle. however, many amps come with speaker level ins on them to begin with. so you could always go that route. one less piece of equipment to deal with
