I have done most of my car in dynamt extreem, and the first thing to know, is that it is very expensive. For the money, there are much cheaper options out there. If you do it yourself, you can save a lot of money on the install. I have done all, and I mean all parts of meatal on my car. This is much much more toughrough than most places would be and it has taken me prob over 50+ hours. Thus far I have used 150 square feet. I think to completely finish it will run me just short of 200 sq. feet. This stuff retails at 34.95 for 4 sq. feet. That is not a misprint. I would recommend that you do as most people recommend and just hit the problem area's. If you really want to do the whole car, for the materials alone, is $1,869.83 including tax. Think that over for a second. That is about the value of your car. I work at best buy and we get the stuff cheaper(think 70% off). Do not get me wrong, the difference is amazing, but not for 2K. Hope this helped... if you only do the prob area's, I can herlp you a lot. First, remove the 6x9 metal baffels and cover them. re-inforce the screws as well. Next, believe it or not, the rear wells, where the spare and box are are the next most important area's. For some reason, this drastically improved the sound of my 6x9s. I guess our systems naturally focus the sound back there. Remove the factory box thing from behid the 6x9's. Also, remove the black vent from the inside of the door. I sealed the hole with dynmat and thoug it sounded better, but not a big difference from the sealing. Next do the inside of the door and the edge inside of them towards the 6x9's. I'd be willing to bet that you get 60-70% of the benefits from the dynamatting with less than 50sq ft. Lemme know if you have any questions...

There are less expensive options out there. There is a product called high temp mastic sheets used mainly in construction. It has exactly the same specifications as Dynamat, only it costs $1 per square foot instead of the outrageous prices of Dynamat. For me to do my 82 Camaro, it cost about $250 by the time all was said and done and made a HUGE difference. I found a site on the internet that sells it for that price. Unfortunateley, I lost the link but I'll post it when I find it again.

Damn that stuff is that freakin expensive!!!!! I got two 13 foot rolls of Dynomat from a bidding auction palce online called Ubid.com for $60. It was just the right amount to do the entire floor of the car, front to back. Damn that stuff is really expensive at retail.
And if you guys think that I'm BSing you go over to their site & see what their are going for over there. Click on electronics & then go to mobile. You'll see what I'm talking about. Lata
