behind 6x9's

there is some sort of sound dampening i guess back there, like a air space, I have a stock 86. Should i take this out and dynamat, just take it out, leave it, or dynamat it? Thanx

You should definitley rip that stuff behind the 6x9's out. I did that on my 90 Camaro with Cadence 6x9's and I now get a more fuller tremendous sound. I would also suggest trying the dynamat too.
