Radio Making Noise and Half Does not Light up

The Delco factory radio in my 92 is making the speakers have a bad static noise. Once I turn the power off for the radio it stops. I also noticed half of the lights show up on it. We would like to keep the factory radio in it. I have another factory Delco radio that does not produce sound to the right front speaker. Does anyone have a diagram of the electrical setup in these radios? I'm really good at fixing electrical items I just need a diagram of the radio so I can repair them. Any info is appreciated, thank you. Also does anyone have a diagram on how to hook up an AUX hook up to it. THANKS!!

♫♫♫♫♫Come On Hear The Noise !

To find where the noise is being generated you can use another amplifier as a signal tracer.

If the volume control is a potentiometer start by probing the center wiper.

Is there noise there?

If no, the problem is in the amp circuits.

Advance the probe until the noise is detected.

You might have a cold solder joint.

Using the signal tracer method probe the left front circuitry in the radio from the speaker terminal and compare it to the right front.

That will let you know where you are losing the signal.

Happy Racing !

Re: Radio Making Noise and Half Does not Light up

Bad capacitors on the Amp board and burned out bulbs for the back lighting.
