i just got an avital car alarm for free, but i dont know how to hook it up correctly....

ive figured out some of the wires, but there are 21 wires on this thing and no lables as to where they go

I put an avital in my father's truck last year. It's a longshot, but I *might* be able to find the instructions. Don't hold your breath, but if I find them I'll let you know. In the meantime, I'd write to them or contact them and see if you can get installation instructions. DEI just bought them out, but as far as I know, the business still operates as before.

Have you looked at the alarm "brain" itself? Oftentimes, the color codes for all the wires are printed there.

I did my Alpine...and I will NEVER do a full-featured car alarm myself again!!
