anyone use these? new to audio
I went to best buy recently and listened closely to all the speakers wired up. Personally I liked kenwood the best. To me they sounded the most crisp and clear. Without being alien like. pioneer was a close second though. Im sure only the best of each brand goes on display though. This could have a lot to do with the stereos used though.. Wonder if theyre all wired to the same unit... I did some online searching when I got home. and found
this
and this
I have a few questions..
Has anyone used these or anything like them and were you happy with em?
How important is the stereo in the whole equation?
Is wiring going to be basic plug and play?
And would I need an amp to run these?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

well those speakers arent too bad...you can run them off any stereo you wish to purchase, and you can also run them using an amp. Just really depends on what you are trying to do.
Wiring the speakers isnt necessarily plug in play but just requires some wire splicing fairly easy though.

I had the KFC-4675Cs installed to have music in my car while I looked for something better.
Bluntly put, they are crap. If you put any kind of volume to them they will rattle and generally sound like a cat stuck in a tin can. Do yourself a favor and spend the money on quality speakers. I prefer Infinity and JBL. I have P462s in my dash and GTO608Cs in the sail panels. I blew my P462s, but it was because I overpowered them. They sounded great before I fried them.

it depends what you are trying to do. what type of music you listen to, what features you want, how much you want to spend all play factors. for alot of people not really interested in the BEST quality money can buy just having the stock speakers or cheaper aftermarket speakers and a decent aftermarket HU. the oem one is terrible

I know they're not 4x6 or 6x9 speakers, but the Polk Audio DXi650's are the DOTD at Best Buy for $40.
Excellent sounding speakers.
