HUmount Woes

Just got my HUmount today and when installed it sticks out about 1/4" too far and doesn't allow the radio faceplate to sit flush with the console.

Has anyone had this problem?

Re: HUmount Woes

There is usually a heatsink on the back of radios. In my case, the fins of the heatsink were making contact with the back of the radio/hvac housing. I trimmed the areas that were preventing the head unit from sitting all the way back and then it fit fine.

I remember on my Camaro, behind the head unit there was a bracket for the stock radio. I took this out, and it gave me another inch or so of depth.

You could probably do the same thing
