Kenwood headunit/radio installment

Hey guys, I have a question about installing a kenwood headunit/radio on my 91 camaro RS 305 tbi.

So my brother gave me this sick kenwood headunit to put in my new car, but him and my dad both assured me the wiring wont work with it. and that ill have to take it to best buy or some crap like that and have them do the wiring for me.. I feel like an idiot. Could you guys save me some time and give me an estimate of how much they'll charge for this and how long it will take? thanks. I appreciate it.

all aftermarket radios will require an adapter to plug into the factory harness. the kit 1991z28 just linked to should be exactly what you need to adapt the harness coming out of the the kenwood into your car (pretty good price too)

Re: Kenwood headunit/radio installment

Then with that wiring adapter you may need an antenna adapter (one came with the last adapter I bought) and you may also need to buy a mounting kit to fit the car. Sorry I do not have any kit #s to reference. Some people have had a problem with the stereo hitting on ac ducts. Some have cut the ducts and resealed and some have tried the mounting kit that sets the radio out about 1/2 to 3/4" .
