15th Ann T/A - 6.5in Speakers?
Hey all,
I have a 15th Anniversary T/A, and recently just adopted some Clarion speakers from my girlfriend who doesn't need them anymore. She gave me two 6.5inch 180watt speakers, and two 6x9 350watt speakers. I haven't hooked anything up yet, as I'm waiting for a new head unit to arrive. (Clarion USB/Bluetooth ... awesome deal for $104!)
Anyway, so I was examining my door panel today and it doesn't look like I'd necessarily have enough clearance to do it without taking out the original "map wallet" thinger mabobber or carving into the plastic near the rear seat (which kind of defeats the purpose as it would be next to the thumping 6x9's)
I was looking around the site and I saw a lot of people doing it without much of a problem, but wasn't sure if anyone had run into a problem like mine and thought of something different. Worst case scenario, I may just make a speaker box and put them in the back later on but I'd rather have them in the cockpit personally.
Any ideas? Pictures are always appreciated and badass, ha
EDIT: nevermind, I found a very helpful thread I had just missed. Left the post up anyway, because the link to the Clarion deck might help someone

You can have 10,000 watt speakers ... unless you are using a 4 channel amp to power them, you won't have anythung thumping. Headunits only put out about 50 watts max.
