Re: box too small?

You need to measure the length, width and height of the box.

Does the box have any holes in it besides the hole cutout for the sub?

If it donesn't then it's sealed.

You need to measure box slants. Width won't change.

Ported could be an issue as usually it's tuned to the specs of the subs that were in the box. Maybe cover the ports and make the box sealed.

Need dimensions first.

Re: box too small?

well the spxs that were in there too begin with have alittle plastic circle in the back that the speaker wire ran from, i put those back in and installed the two square speaker wire connectors for my wire, i know i had to trip the hole alittle to be able to fit the sonys in there.

Re: box too small?

to know what size is correct, you need to know the specifications of the subs you have now. a ported box is going to sound funny if its not built to the sub. if you're not sure how to measure dimensions and you don't have the sub specs, you may be better off sealing up the box and just running it that way. sealed boxes are a lot more forgiving on response than ported if made a bit off in size
