Axle/Gears: 3.42 gov lock
box too small?
can someone help me, iv got my 2 12" 1300 watt sony xplodes in my old SPX audio box and my uncle thinks the box is too small for them, can someone help me out? i dont know the dimintions of the box...

You need to measure the length, width and height of the box.
Does the box have any holes in it besides the hole cutout for the sub?
If it donesn't then it's sealed.

ported, and this box is slanted, so how do i measure the height and width?

Ported could be an issue as usually it's tuned to the specs of the subs that were in the box. Maybe cover the ports and make the box sealed.
Need dimensions first.

well the spxs that were in there too begin with have alittle plastic circle in the back that the speaker wire ran from, i put those back in and installed the two square speaker wire connectors for my wire, i know i had to trip the hole alittle to be able to fit the sonys in there.

to know what size is correct, you need to know the specifications of the subs you have now. a ported box is going to sound funny if its not built to the sub. if you're not sure how to measure dimensions and you don't have the sub specs, you may be better off sealing up the box and just running it that way. sealed boxes are a lot more forgiving on response than ported if made a bit off in size
