Q-Logic kick panel enclosures
Just wondering if these are a good add-on for an otherwise stock stereo set-up. I currently have a sony X-plode 50x4 head unit and pioneer 4x6 in dash and 6x9 in sail panels. I already have a set of infinity 5 1/4 speakers that I would put in the enclosures. Just wondering if there is anything I should know about the enclosures before I buy.

Your going to need an external amp to drive the kick speakers and since you would almost be going that route anyway I'd look into possibly putting in a component set driven completely by just the amp and leave the rear speakers to the head unit. Just a little food for thought.

Cool, thanks for the reply/suggestions. Any idea on what size amp I should look at getting? I was also wondering... since my car came with the bose rear hatch speaker setup, should I think about removing the sail panel speakers and putting new speakers in the hatch? I'm also going to be buying an Alpine head unit soon to go with this new setup.

The best way to choose the amp is to look at your speakers and go from there. If the speakers are capable of producing 35-50watts nominal power than you shouldnt need anything bigger than that for an amp. Its really up to you if you want to keep the sail speakers, the speakers will always sound better when driven by an external amp. But honestly I have the front and sail speakers in my car hooked up to my pioneer head unit which puts out 20wattsx4 nominal power and it sounds just fine to me.

I had q forms way back and found they took away too much leg room for the driver. My left foot had no place to rest.
You can see the qforms in this pic.
