Trunk square footage (Dynomat)

Hey yal,
I ripped out all my rear carpet stuff so that I can dynomat my floor pan to reduce exhaust noise and make my car not rattle when I put my sub in the trunk. Anyone know how much dynomat I need to buy? I see a 36 sq ft kit for like 99.00. Is that enough?

I don't recall how much... but it took my frined and I 2 days to do ALL the back and rear pilars...

Try www.secondskinaudio.com, stickier than Dynamat at high temp, better price...

Re: Trunk square footage (Dynomat)

Ya i was about to do the rear of my car but found a lil rust i need to repair first. Which is why my system is not in my car for now. Looking at the bright side im getting another 2mpg and also cant keep my tires from spinnning anymore :-)

anyway i think your going to want more then that. I think when i checked out doing the back of mine and the side pillars and a lil behind the speakers it was over 60 square feet.

Second Skin is better product. I have the new set of promo codes to get up to 25% off your order depending on the total. PM me for the codes if you decide to go the Second Skin route.

I used about 40 sq ft for the trunk area. That is the front of the hump and behind. Not including sail panels. I found about 140 sq ft is about perfect for the whole car. I used two rolls of Raammat. www.raamaudio.com

36 sq. ft. should cover just the floor area and tranny hump.

The rear area and back seat shoul take another 36 sq.ft.
