Ipod on stock radios?
Anyone know if an Ipod can be hooked up to our stock radios or even the newer GM Delco radios? I know you can hear it through the FM with those adapters that hook up to the cigarette lighter but I don't want to do that.
On my 07 Tahoe the stock radio has an AUX jack where I can connect my Ipod to and it sounds great, I'm wondering if something similar can be added to our stock radios.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Ipod on stock radios?
I remember seeing a thread a while back where someone was adding the port to the stock radio's. Do a search and try and find it.

I use something similar to this in mine. I haven't checked yet to see if I can plug in my MP3 using the USB instead of the audio jack. I get feedback from my alternator through the audio cable, but I never had that problem when i was using my thumbdrive.

Re: Ipod on stock radios?
Thanks for the links guys they were all very informative. I will keep looking for a fourth gen radio that I feel comfortable paying for. For now I decided to go with the Alpine IDA-X200 which is dedicated to Ipod and Mp3 users. I don't really like the look of the radio inside the car but it sounds great and I can control the Ipod straight from the HU.
No I just gotta get new 4X6's I bought some cheap sony exploids from Walmart thinking I was gonna leave the stock radio in and they just don't cut if with the Alpine.
