speed control volume retro fit question
Hi Guys,
I installed a 4th gen Delco radio with the SVC in my 1988 Camaro. I need to know if the SVC can be made functional with the optical speed sensor. This system does not have the VSS buffer. Could the brown wire to pin A-10 on the ECM be used for this? Thanks in advance. Dean!!!

Re: speed control volume retro fit question
That's the wire I tried to use on my 89 and haven't got it to work yet. I've seen a post a long while back where this was hooked up and worked just fine. Being a "newer" radio, I think maybe 2000 pulses per mile is too low from my TBI VSS, or the function in the radio is defective. I do believe the TPI and V6 MPFI VSS puts out 4000 pulses per mile.
