Well I thought that everyone was using the 4th gen one, then I looked at the Camaro one has a year option, with 82-92. So I guess that everyone isent using the 4th gen one

I bought the 4th gen Firebird one, any idea if itll fit alright? Or can i modify it too fit. Or should I just keep it til I get a 4th gen, lol. Cuz i dont think they do returns.

Is this the Metra one? If it's specific for the Firebird/Camaro, it will work in your 3rd gen. It will require a bit of trimming, but it you're used to installing stereos, it will be nothing new.

This is the kit I used: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=265-715

Metra model number 99-3009.

that looks sharp ! but for $65 I'll have to wait until my car looks as nice on the inside as it does... it wouldn't go well with my ripped seats.

It does it sharp, just hopefully it will fit in their alright. I saw some people running newer GM radios without much work. So i assume the 4th gen mount that I bought should fit alright. Hopefully it will come in soon so I can see if it fits.

Re: I accidently ordered a 4th gen humount...

They only make them for fourth gen Firebirds. I made a thread a few months ago about mine. It's not too bad, just have to trim everything down a bit.

Edit: Here's the link: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/car-...y-humount.html

If it's not clear enough in my first post in that thread, just cut stuff up till it fits in there.

LOL, but its the truth. take the pod out and get a dremel. And cut where it hits until the HU goes flush. Its super easy. And worth it.

Yeah, I prefer the cutoff wheel method, but it's all good

Here's a picture for some motivation
