need louder stereo
I need to buy a probably a 400 watt amp to go in a 86 camaro.I need to find out how much my speakers will hold I did'nt put them in.My question is what kind of amp I don't want subfoofers I just want it louder. And how do I tell how many watts my speakers will take?

They'll probably say it right on the back, do you know what kind of speakers they are? Depending on what's in there, you might be better off getting some nice speakers if your going to amplify them.

I'll look on the back when I take the dash off.Can you tell me what bridged and mono means?I have 4 speakers now Alpine CD player do you think a 400 watt amp would be to small? I don't want it to blow my ears off but I want to be able to tell some difference. The place I got gift certificates too sell Alpine, RF,JBL I heard JBL is the best of them is it worth the extra money? I always thought Rockford Fosgate was top of the line but some people on here don't like them.I'm leaning to Alpine for the amp,what do you think? Thanks.

All 3 are on par, I would go with whatever's on sale when picking from that lot and don't be afraid to mix and match.
