LINEAR 1002 AMP

Anyone know about or have an opinion on Linear Amps? I have one from my original stereo install back in 1985. Still works and seems fine. Removed cover and clean inside. Its 50RMS x2, 200 peak wattage. Need to know if its junk or quality. If good I might use it to power my front speakers.(Infinity Kappas)Badman

Man does that bring back some memories. I remember those back when an Alpine 7901 was the top dog CD player.

WOW!! Keep that amp! Its old obviously. But LPs were fantastic sounding amps. Ahead of their day. Very transparent with very nice transients. This is not a "high" power amp by todays standards. You are right at 50X2 per channel. Not rated for mono or 2 ohm stereo. But still a great amp. Linearpower.com will repair them if it does not work. A very good front or rear channel amp. Good luck!!
