yeah i didnt have any trouble with my router doing the circles. went fairly slow, probably took 45 seconds for each 11 inch circle, but i did them in one pass.
maybe your bits are worn out?

finished it up today, have a ground problem i need to sort out now, which baffles me, as all the wiring is the same.
isnt the best looking setup, but looks were not the emphasis with this box. as for the sound quality, i can BARELY tell a difference from my sealed box. i played a few songs im really familiar with, and was more than satisfied. i can't hear any port noise. as for the output, its ridiculous. i put on lil jons throw it up and bme click, almost as soon as the bass lines started, the rear view mirror drops, the radar detector falls off the windshield (gonna have to figure out something to do about that) and it gets rather uncomfortable in the car. basically its louder than i can handle on a daily basis, which is what i was shootin for.

SAWEET. . Looks beautiful. I wish I could experience the sound! Excellent work.
I've never built a box expecting more than 350rms going to it. Your box is defenitely taking a lot more power. Looks like you have screws along the perimeter every 5 inches. Is there so much power that its necessary to have so many screws? I always thought one every 12 inches would suffice (again, 350 rms is the power I built the box to handle).

i've always used a lot of screws in my boxes, dunno why. i glue the hell out of them too, mostly use the screws to tighten it down, but i also use clamps with big sections like this. those woofers are 80 pounds together too, so i needed it to be pretty sturdy.

In theory you should be able to pull all the screws out as soon as the glue is dry assuming you used wood glue or liquid nails.
Nice work, glad you ended up liking the results. I might think about porting my box if I end up having enough volume to do so. More on that as soon as I get my interior back together

good work... do you have any cancellation due to the reflection of the woofer off the hatch? I know you have to design the ports differently depending on if the woofer is facing the same direction as the ports... all about timing

The only cancellation that might arise would happen if the waves coming off the subs, bouncing off the hatch, and coming back towards the cabin are out of phase with the waves coming out of the ports. Out of phase = loss of output. This would only happen over a given frequency range though and is somewhat similar to the argument for aiming your subs at the trunk instead of at the cabin in a sedan.
I’ve got no idea if cancellation with your setup is possible because I don’t understand the math behind it well enough yet. I also lack first hand experience so take my post with a grain of salt.

well i had to find out the hard way that people are right when they say not to mount your amps to the box. my crossfire is making a funny noise now, a high pitched squeal coming from the amp itself. it plays the speakers fine, but puts a scratching noise through them once in a while.
gonna have to send it in for repair, looks like its gonna be about 100 bucks. now i have to build an amprack where one of the backseats was too. this sucks.

You wont' have any cancellation at all with that setup. The closer the subs are to the rear of the car, the less cancellation there will be. Yours are positioned fine.
The ports are farther forward, so there technically will be cancelaltion issues with their location, except that it'll be at a frequency well above the frequency they are tuned for anyway.
You'll have no problems. That setup should slam.
