why does Kicker rate their amps at 2 ohms only
I am looking for a amp to power my polk components and the kicker KX250.2 looks good but I noticed it was only being rated at 110x2 at 2 ohms stereo. The 4 ohm ratings are all in bridged mode which I dont understand if it is a 2 channel amp. what gives here? I have 4 ohm speakers and I want a good 85 to 100x2 stereo amp.

they probably do that because it makes their power ratings look good to people that dont know about those things....it will run at four ohms but the power output will be less. when u bridge it it makes it a four ohm mono load. its the same way if u run a dual voice coil two ohm sub in series it will make the sub run a four ohm load. take a look at some mono amps that show power ratings at two and four ohms and u will see what i mean. also u may wanna google ohms law it may help to explain things a little better mabey not exactly what u were looking for but a little insightful if your not familar w/ it at all.

Here's some good info on how bridging works and why the minimum load changes when bridged:
