amping the rear speakers
Im going to amp the rear speakers in my IROC soon. I already have a nice 50 watts RMS by 2 amp that i bought for 40 bucks. Its an alpine. My question is how do i go about it? I've hooked up subs to an amp and used the preamp outputs on the back of the headunit but im not sure how to hook up the amp to the rear speakers. Would i do it the same way? Or do i send the speaker wires themselves into the amp then send wires from the amp to the speakers? Thanks

you connect the same as you would to a set of subs...except you dont use a crossover...you could use either the low or high level inputs but on most head units the pre outs are already connected to the rear speaker outputs internally so i would suggest using the pre outs on reciever and just cap off the rear speaker outputs on the reciever...hope this helps man

I was kidding, because that's the way you worded it in this post.
