Abandoned project gives speakers to my Camaro
OK, since I've decided to get rid off my '76 Fiat Spider body (and later on some day .. some day .. buy a pre '76 due to Cali smog laws) .. I now ended up with spare speakers I had saved for the project
4" Infinity speakers ... four of them ... so... suggestions on wiring where to put them etc
I was playing around a little bit with the idea of having them in a panel above the head .... kinda like where you would have the top bar of a rollbar going... but that's just an idea
Naturally due to them being just 4"... not like I can mount them far far away from the front seats .. lol

i've got 4 4's in my car, just made plates for the 6x9 slots. they fit tight together, but go right in. in the next month or two though im either going to get some good 6x9s there and put a 6.5 inch component set in kickpanels, or just make new panels to put the components where the 6x9's go, and if you still dont have anything then, i'll send them to you if you want to pay for the shipping. just send me a pm to remind me in a few weeks alright?

No... that's the problem ... I'm not an expert on the car audio deal... so not sure what I really need
The final setup.. as far as speakers go... well I would like for it to be... the stock speakers... 4x6 in front.. 6x9 back.. plus four 4" .. as well as two subwoofers in the trunk.. say hmmm maybe as low as 8" woofers.. possibly 10"
Not looking for any expensive HUGE amps either.. just not sure what I need

i say run the sets of 4 inches in the sail panels for rear fill if you need it with an amp. run your stock 4*6s until you can afford to do kick panels. Id say run a single 10 or two in your trunk. Either way its gonna be probably 3 amps which might be tough to fit. Your prolly gonna need to make an amp rack for them. Oh and forget the stock speakers.

i'd go with something like what i have now, other than the woofers, which aren't cheap. i can highly recommend the infinity kappa 4x6's, they're awesome. get something like that for your dash, and have the 4 4's in the back. you can run the 4 4's off of 2 channels, so you'll be fine with a 4 channel amp to run all your highs, and a 2 channel or mono amp to run you sub(s).
this is assuming they're decent 4's, otherwise, you're probably better off just spending the coin on 2 nice 6x9's. probably looking at 70-100 for some good 4x6's, 100-130 for some good 6x9's, and around 200-250 for a good 4 channel amp. do NOT want to buy a jankity amp. you'll be happier with the end result to just wait for the 2nd amp and woofers if you do not have the money to get it all at once.
