No, I am ***! (new system :D)
I got a new system this past week. Its an all memphis setup. It includes:
2 - M Class 6 1/2" component sets
1 - M class 4x6
1 - M Class 75X4 amp for highs
1 - 3000 watt memphis mojo amp for subs
2 - Memphis Mojo subs in a ported box
1 - memphis line driver
2 - Memphis 1 farad digital top capacitors
1 (maybe 2) - optima red tops
all new memphis interconnects...dist. blocks, fuses, fuse holders, everything but the wire...its 0 gauge audiopipe. I dont have any pics cuz my digital camera is dead. Its not installed yet but its getting closer. We are building the box and amp rack this week and then it will be done hopefully the next week or the week after that. after the stereo is complete, the car gets new door hinges and a new paint job. And before anyone says anything about spending my money on the stereo before the engine or moreso replacing the engine I say this...IM NOT REPLACING A PERFECTLY GOOD ENGINE BEFORE IT GOES BAD. If it aint broke, dont fix it, right? but anywayz...we're hoping for mid 150's with this setup. might go 16 volt as well, but not fo sho yet. I dont think i forgot anything...more when I get some damn pics any questions or comments?

The boston 4x6's are blown, so I will get those warrantied (if they are still under that is) and the 6x9's will sit and wait for another vehicle to go into prolly.

im puttin them in the well in a fiberglass/wood box with a port. im buildin an amp rack 2morrow and will try and get some pics. we still need to build the box and kick pods and new panels where the 6x9s go. im borrowing a box w/ three mojos in a sealed enclosure and it sounds pretty good but everything is so messy that im ashamed to show it on here yet. oh ya, and i added an optima red top today too. ummm...that should be it so far, hopefully pics/dB numbers soon!
**edit** There is a contest in Garden city at a place called sound decisions. So there will be numbers w/ the triple sub setup by monday! YEY!

Just FYI, those mojo's like ALOT of space, but if you can come up with about 6 cubic feet, you COULD mid/high 150s, if everything else is kosher in the car, dynamat etc.

ya, ive layed sound deadening through the ENTIRE car...roof, floor, behind panels...my car had a drivers seat and shifter in it for a 2 days while i was doing it between work. there is an easy 6 cu ft in the back of the car, just gotta be creative. The box i have in ther now (the one im borrowing) has three mojos sealed in about 4 or 5 cu. ft and he would hit 156's all day long when he had it in his camaro w/ 3 - 1000D's.

well, I hit a 153 dB this weekend. Took second. first came from a chevy s10 xtreme and hit a 154 dB. not to shabby for 3 mojo's in an unrecommended sealed box off a little 2000d . Hopefully my subs will be in this week and we can get a box built for them by the 11th which is when the audio store i work at is having there comp.
on a side note, my friend that went with me has 8 12" PBX Xtremes (off brand, but they are damn good, just not well known, kinda like adire, but easier to get) and hit a 157.8 w/ 4 - 1000D's and a ported box in the back of a 2001 toyota tundra. and we still are working on getting his amps set right and everything. by the time we get them to perfection and put in the 16 volt system, it should be hitting 161, 162 easily.

I don't know why this thread reminds me of this, but when I was with my grandpa (wears hearing aids) me and him were asleep and we were stopped at a red light (my grandma was driving)we pulled along side an extended cab s10 custom with at least 12 subs in the back uncovered in some ugly box...it shook my whole body and made my heart hurt......(this is when I loved subs) and my grandpa got out of the car and knocked on the guys window, he rolled it down and turned down the music and my grandpa pulled out his hearing aid and said YOU SEE THIS YOU SOB TURN THAT DOWN OR YOU WILL NEED THESE......i'm not ****ting you I saw the system forsale at our local audio shop a week later haha
and 161 dbs is insane wear hearing protection

Man...doesn't 150db = sound of a rocket taking off? I thought anything over 110db would destroy your ears? You so can't be listening to that at full tilt while driving around.
Also...isn't memphis the company that produces the amps that will run at 1ohm stable?

not a rocket, but a jet engine a few hundred feet away is about that loud.
the memphis 16-MC1000D is 1ohm stable, and if you dont care about your warranty and want to compete, 1/2 ohm stable.

Sorry guys, havent been on here in a LONG time. Got busy w/ work, life, etc. You know, the normal stuff. I have moved 3 times in 4 months now all around town and Im finally set in a house for a while YAY! But anywayz, I will get some pics up soon hopefully tuesday or wednesday. Got my box built just not painted. Went to a couple contests since then...at the local place I hit a 156.8 dB and in port wars I hit a 169.7 almost topped out the meter. Very pleased with it. Went to a contest in Kansas City and my amps went weird on me and I only hit a 152.7 dB. But I got everything fixed and am waiting on the next contest! My store's Memphis rep is working on getting me a 4000D, their new Mojo amp. I cant wait. that's twice the amp baby! but thats all for now, so Ill get pics asap.
