Ok, I'm a sucker for 94 and older sound systems... so let's see em'!
Who's still running that Alpine radio? That Blaupunkt amp? Paper cone speakers? Audiovox equalizers? You get the idea!

lol, that's a start!
I saw a 3rd gen with one of those under-dash mounted 8 track players
I'm just amazed at some old systems, made in people's garages, with plywood, 1000's of speakers, crazy wires, etc. They just have so much more character than all these assembly-line system setups!

Well, back in ~94 I hooked up a 15" paper cone concert speaker in a HUGE box from like the 70's that I found in my parent's basement in my friend's 86ish T/A on like a 200W wal-mart amp... The box was so big we had to move the front seats up and it hit the rear window. That was pretty cool
Actually it was pretty loud in the mid ranges, but of course probably didnt go lower than 60hz. Ahh good times, blazing Eazy-E doing donuts in the high-school parking lot. Think he had like a roadmaster tape-player as a HU.

Car: '88 camaro/ '89 gmc s15 lower'd.

what about old school EV voice speakers? (electro-voice) they make newer ones but the old school 10s and 12s are srill in higher demend on the streets.. they're all voice speakers for highs and sound great alomg with a mids component set and subs for lows.... they scream rediculously loud highs if you want them too also. (they sound better in a nicely tuned system with some decent bass and mids to keep up with the loudness of the highs) thats all i have for 'old' audio in my s15.. the rest of my system is newer good quality equipment but i love them. will also be getting some for the camaro this summer.
electro-voice old enough for ya?? lol

Here's my little peice of history. I had a pair of Soundstream Granite amps, I still have a pair of Soundstream SS 5.0 studio mid bass speakers, just installed a Pioneer head unit from 1991 for my mechanic in his Nissan Altima, and sold a Volcano 12 from the early 90's to a friend. I'll try and get pics of all that whenever i can.

I worked for Car-Fi in Springfield,Mo. in 1994.To this day,my 82 shortbed pickup has a Punch 40,Punch 60,an Audio Control EQ,Boston Acoustics 6.4 seperates,Kicker Impulse 12" subs, and an Alpine 7815 in dash CD.I installed all of this in the fall of 94,and other than replacing corroded wiring, have had no trouble with any of it,and it still sounds pretty damn good.I've heard that Rockford amps suck nowadays, but man they were the POOP back then.Anyone remember the Punch 500?

Axle/Gears: huh?? guessing stock.
ah.. the good old Punch 500. those things just kicked! I had a small system in an old caddy, two 15" Punch subs with a Punch 500 bridged to each. loved teh base, and loved the car, but alas some one thought they could love it more and when I parked it one night, it was gone in the morning.

Can anyone beat a mid-80's RF Power 1000 w/chrome fan shroud?
To be honest, I don't have it anymore. But my best friend is using it right now.

I've still got my Phoenix Gold amps.. five of them actually, all M-50's. Got a PPI Art Series amp aswell, 50x4. The old quality amps are great since they were insanely under-rated for competition.
