Which amp for 2 PIONEER TS-W300R 12" subs

Alright, bought two cheap cheap PIONEER TS-W300R 12" subs
Subwoofer Specifications

Size: 12 inch
Rec. Sealed Box Dims: 1.25 - 1.75 cu.ft.
Rec. Ported Box Dims: not recommended
Free Air Usage: not recommended
Sensitivity: 91 dB
Frequency Response: 20-4,000 Hz
Recommended RMS Power: 150W
Peak Power Handling: 600W
Impedance: 4 ohms subwoofer wiring options

what sort of amp would be ideal for running two 150W RMS subs at 2ohms? does that mean that I just need a one channel 300w rms at 2ohms amp?
Or does it mean that I need an amp to do 150W rms at 2ohms?

or would a 2 chennel amp with 150w rms at 4ohms x2 be better?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

**also, what kind of wiring to the cargo area, and what wiring between subs and amp?

mtx 421d would work well, coustic 401db, hell, almost anything with ABOUT 300W rms @ 2 ohms would work well for you.

i would go with the 421d, 3 year warranty if installed by an authorized dealer, very strong for the cash, should be able to get it for under 225$.

have at it, but i wouldnt.

if you go talk to your local specialty car audio shop, NOT best buy, circuit, etc. and ask them to hook you up, you would be amazed at how cheap you can buy the stuff.

buying mainstream gear off the internet is dumb. IMO

If you know what you're looking for, you can find some goodies on the net.

Find yourself a JL Audio 300/1 amp, you won't be disapointed!

the local stero shop will sell it for $300-$400

you can score one on the net for $150 maybee, but if you want piece of mind, buy local.

I would not mess with MTX....JUNK.....just my opinion.

i disagree, i sell mtx, along with pioneer, kenwood, xtant, eclipse, memphis, arc audio, focal, rainbow etc.

mtx is good power for the money, there are cleaner and better quality, but dollar for dollar they are hard to beat.

Lots of stuff gives 'bang for the buck' if MTX works for you, then go for it.

I've never been too impressed with most of thier stuff.

I have seen some good sounding systems here and there, mostly in trucks with huge boxes with 3 10"s or 12"s.

The subs are ok, but there are better amps in my opinion.

no, there aren't alot of bang for the buck companies.

i compare MTX to fosgate, kicker, and all of the other lower end gear, and they hands down win IMO.

i can think of some amps that are better, and i can think of some that are cheaper, but MTX stuff is a good value, especially thier class D stuff.

$2.07/ gallon, you sure will drive it more!

Mine's going on 185k and still runs fine. You can have some fun with the hatchback, much like thirdgens! Good for bass

I had a '78 celica before, $200, it was a piece of junk. I used to drive it around unregistered before I got my license..I had to dump it because it had no hopes of passing inspection. Aside from the rust, it was a decent running car too.

the corolla seems great, first car ive ever driven manual, and i like it, i dont need to worry about rolling up windows, or locking doors....has a cool looking body in my opinion, needs paint, but no reason to make it look pretty...its whole apeal is that i can park it anywhere worry free......i love my new car, and i have the camaro to impress if i want to, though it looks crappy compared to ones on here....the 5.7 is enough to impress most of my friends
