Dropped a screw down AC vent
Well, I dont know where to post this, but since I was installing new speakers I figured I'd post it here.
While taking off my dash pad, I dropped a screw down the vent near the top of the dash pad. Where will this thing end up? Can I get it out? Will it rattle if I dont get it out?

well if you have not done to much.. a little magnet on a string.. I had droped one of my dash pad screws down once.. send a little magnet in after it.. and came back with three screws.. I took the ait box apart behind the dash once .. and there is no easy way of getting into that area from there.

Just saw this the other day....
open up the floor vents and go for a little cruize. Don't endanger yourselfs, but a few sudden turns might help them find thier way out. Good luck!
Haven't you nit-wits ever heard of magnetic tips?
I use the DE-WALT myself, something like $5 at the Home Depot, it's securely fastened in the chuck of my trusty cordless 99% of the time. It's 1/4" hex drive quick change and will temporarilly magnatize just about anything you care to use with it.

get some fishing line and a good magnet.
if you dont have a magnet, any good hardware store should have a couple to choose from.... i like the ring ones the best because its easy to tie to... (shaped like a tire)
tie the fishing line to the magnet and send it down there... if it doesnt get it leave some slack, tie it off to somthing (like the mirror) so you dont lose the end, and go for a drive... do a few hard and quick turns....
as long as what you dropped is magnetic, you should be able to pull it out that way
