subwoofer question
Hey everyone,
I just want to get some input from some of the peepz here about subwoofers.
I was thinking for the TransAm that I am definately gonna populate the back end with some subwoofers. However, I am trying to decide, 3 10's or 2 12's...which would be better. I have a 1000watt kenwood amp to power whatever setup I get however not sure which way to go. Any input would be greatly apreciated.
Not sure if it matters however the type of music I listen to is hip hop, rap, heavy metal and rock...no country.
Thanks for any advice.

My amp is a 1000watt 2 channel amp from kenwood. I bought it off of ebay for 100$. I hooked it up to my single 12" kenwood tornado and it sounds real clean.
I was thinking of getting 3 kenwood tornado 10" subs or 2 tornado 12's..
I am really happy with the performance from those subs however they sound much better in an enclosure or bandpass then a ported box.

most kenwood amps are stable below 2 ohms mono so i would think you should go with 2 12s or you'll impedence will be to low for the amp
