I listened to a power acoustick speaker, one of their 12's

I went into a pawn shop to buy a used amp, he set up the kenwood 400watt 2channel (bridged), and hooked it up to the power acoustick 12 in a sealed box. That 12' rocked I can account for their subs. They friggen rock. It was shaking the wiondows, and rattling the floor. I do think however their amps are overated, as fosgates are not.

Case in point I have a fosgate 120a2 It pushes my kenwood 12's just fine. My kenwoods are the blue tornados. This amp is rated at 120 watts bridged, I;d say it does about 160-200 rms bridged at 2ohms.

The fosgate pushes those 12's well past what it should at a lower ohm than the amp is rated for, without heating up or shutting off.

I guess what I am saying is that if you buy fosgate, you wont have to guess. You will know it puts out exactly what it says it will, if not up to 20% more. Its good clean hard power. And isn't over rated watt wise.

Even if the power acoustick is a good amp, is it really going to push exactly what it says it will? will it push more than it's rated?

With the power acoustick, you're going to have to find somone who has had that model, and can atest to what it puts ou,t, otherwise it is a shot in the dark.. If I had the choice bewteen the two, fosgate would be my first pick, no bones about it.

Not to mention I had an old one like really old punch amp, it blew. I mailed it in to fosgate with npo receipt, no proof of purchase , thikning if it didn't come bcack , no loss if it did, score..3 weeks later it came back with all new inards..

I was pretty impressed.

Anyhow just like ay of my other posts, their just my opion, your milage may vary, and opinons may differ, this is just mine , I definetaly want to ear some reviews of power acoustick first hand tho, i dont have any knowloedge of their newer amps.

HEY THANKS, you made an excellent point about the fosgates. I think I will stick with the 1000bd amp from rockford fosgate. I might as well have one of the best amps to push my audiobahns. that made me realize that the extra hundred$ will be well worth it.So what if it doesn't have all the functions to it all i can about is good clear operation.
