Optima Batteries
#2
Eric,
I don't know what you feel a good price is for an Optima battery but Summit has them for $125.95 to $172.69 depending on the model you choose.
PN:- ULT-9014-045 Dual terminal, deep-cycle battery "Yellow-Top" is a popular choice. Here is a link for you:- http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...th&part=optima
If you come across any great deal with another supplier let us know.

Thanks for the link. The dual post yellow top they are selling for $172 can be bought at Autozone for $159. I was just trying to find something cheaper than that. You can get them on ebay for about $145 but I was trying to stay away from using ebay. Thanks.

i work for SEARS auto and we price match so if you find a cheap price online or anywhere else and your close to a SEARS, print out the price and go there. they will match it and beat it by 10-20% that goes for tires too...

I ordered my dual-terminal yellow top from here:
http://www.optimabatterystore.com/
$139.99, and that includes shipping.
I chose this place because it had the batteries cheap, and free shipping. Can't top that. Batteries weigh a ton.
I love this battery!

murrays here in michigan sells the red for 75. i picked up my red top from circuit city almost 5 years ago. for stereo competition and separate battery use the yellow is great. for a car battery and mild stereo use the red is perfect and has a much better warranty.

80-100 is a good range. main reason i went with drycell was regulation required ventilation tubes when mounting in the trunk and i didn't want to do that so a drycell was a natural choice. i've been very happy with mine.

I thought even though you still had a dry cell battery you were still required to put the battery in a sealed and vented box at the track? Or am I wrong here?
Dry cell battery rules.

Anyone with the battery located in the trunk?
