did you by any chance forget to hook up the remote wire?? --small blue wire comming from the bacl of the stereo-- make sure the ground is GOOD, scrape all paint away from the sirface in which you are grounding the amp to.

im positive, there are two blue wires, one with a white stripe, the blue with white stripe is the remote.

i got those two backwards in the previous pst, sorry about that . but yes, im 110% positive. blue and white stripe is the remote wire.

if it has a power antenna wire it WILL have a remote wire ,pull the stereo out the dash and look at the harness real well

I to have a Jensen. I only have 1 blue wire which is either the amp turn on or remote antenna. However even if this wire wasn't hooked up your cd player should still work. Also the red wire is your power when car is on. The orange is your power all the time for memory and your clock. The black is the ground and if you use the factory ground it should be good because its grounded to the chasis. It should work with the Red/Black hooked up regardless of the others. If not check the fuses that should be housed in a black box on the red"lead" wire. If there blown you might have found your problem. Hope this helps.

some aftermarket cd players only have one wire can they call it the atenna wire (blue with a white strip) you can use the for the amp. if you have a power atenna and you only have the blue and white wire and not a soild blue then you can tap both into the single wire.

from the back of the aftermarket radio, the wires are as follows:

black-ground
yellow-constant 12V
red-accesory
blue,blue/white-remote turnon and pwr ant
green, purple, white, and grey-speaker wires
orange, orange/white-dont hook them up, they are the dimmer/illumination and dont effect much.

if you dont have the factory harness adapter, i can give you the colors from the car too if youd like.

i know, what im saying is, if you have the ability to hook up an amp / wire it. you shouldnt worry about having to hook up a remote wire, because you know wtf you are doing. i didnt mean you didn have to hook up the remote wire. lol
