Audiobahn 2X50 amp in the spare tire well powering the Alpine 4X6 dash speakers. You can also see the crossovers for the kick speakers.

Crossovers for the sailpanel speakers. You can also see a distribution block for the remote turn on. These are in the locking storage compartment.

The above mentioned 4X75 Audiobahn amp and the 300X2 Audiobahn amp for the subs. These surround the 30 band Audiobahn crossover/linedriver/EQ. It was a challenge figuring out how to mount these three huge components in the hatch area of a third gen.

A better shot of the EQ. You can see the digital volt meter keeping track of the volts it sees.

And finally the subs. Two Audiobahn 12" high excursion with 120 oz. magnets. These things hit hard. They are mounted in a Q-logic custom enclosure for third gens.

88, about the sails. I traced the stock 6X9 mount onto a piece of 1/8" lagging(basically very thin plywood). Then I just cut the seperate holes out for the two speakers. I sealed up the stock foam enclosure you find in our cars and stuffed it full of hollow-fill. I then surrounded the whole setup with sound deadener.

How come you decided to go with Q-Logic? Those are pretty expensive compaired to other options. Other than that, awesome man. I love the idea of components in the sails. Just another question, How come you are keeping speakers in the 4X6 location? it just seems with the powered components, you arent gonna be able to hear them that well.

I like the way the Q-logics look. I also lined the inside with sound deadener to be sure I don't get any of the rattles and buzz I've heard about with these. They sound and look great. I kept the 4X6 because I figure if I have an easy spot to put more speakers, that's good. They are powered by their own amplifier, so believe me, they don't get drowned out by the kicks. They mix well with the kicks to give me the elusive phantom center channel.

Just give me a shout and I'll help you all I can. On a side note, took the GTA out tonight for the first time in a while. We went through the Wendy's drive thru and when I pulled up to the first window, the kid who takes the money was practically hanging out to get a view. I saw him quick run back in and when I got to the other window to pick up the food, there were 4 workers there wanting to check it out. They were oooing and aaahing and asking me all kinds of questions. It was dark already so the whole hatch was lighting up blue, looks awesome. I am extremely happy. The sound quality is out of this world and the bass hits deep down in your gut. I think I've reached my goal of topping the system in my previous Firebird.

is your hatch tinted? Seems crazy to have that much money back there and not have it tinted.

No tint as of yet. I do plan on getting everything tinted. I am not worried about theft though, the only time it is parked without me in it is when it's in the garage. Thanks for the concern.

I did a quick add in my head and come up with like $2800. That's everything. HU, 3 amps, EQ, 2 component speaker sets, dash speakers, 2 subs, kick panels, sub box, sound deadener and the miles of wiring and RCAs. I think it's definitely worth every penny, sounds awesome.
