System Wiring
Tomorrow Im going out and buying new 4x6 & 6x9 and installing my amp and subs into my car but I have a few question?
I know how to hook it all up and run all the wires I just don't know what gauge wires I need for:
Speaker wires for mids, I will run them off deck power.
Speaker wires for subs
RCA
System Remote
Power/ Ground
Fuse and how many amps
MTX 6000 series subs 250 watt RMS 500 watt Max 4 Ohms
Kenwood KAC-819 Mono Amp 250w x 1 @ 2 ohms 14.4v 450 Max
Pioneer Deck 45w x 4

1) use 4 gauge ( up to 1600 watts they say)for upgrades later and 20 feet should be good
2) your amps should tell you what size fuse to use and depending on the amp wattage you can get away with 1 amp so long as it has all connections you can always add another later and use the one you have now for midrange
3) remote i use 12 gauge
4) rca's i usually buy the pre cut stuff but they look like 12 or 14 gauge
