Unless things have changed, I thought MA was Mobile Authority, another maker of cheap amps. Checking out that web site, 3500 watts RMS for $900? I don't think there's -any- "real" quality brand name amp that can do 3500 watts RMS, for any price.

I think the Soundstream Tarantula was "only" 1500 RMS, wasn't it? And it had a 300 amp fuse, too. Or was that the DaVinci? They pop up every now and then on eBay...

MA audio is a higher end product than Mobile authority. That's like saying Lanzar and Pyramid are the same. I personnally like MA Audio. I have three of there amps and I like them. Not a problem out of them so far (almost a year old) and I like the sound quality. As always, to each his own.

I had a set of MA Audio 5" and 5x7" speakers, and they sounded pretty good. I'd definitely give their amps a try.

Just want to clarify... Mobile Authority (MA) and MA Audio are two different companies!

Ya, that JBL does 6000 watts RMS, 10,000 peak. Its quite the amp...i would run ONE of those Solo-baric X subs nicely (5000 rms, 10,000 peak I believe)

MA is to Mobile Authority as is Legacy is to Pyramid in a sense, lol .

Anywho, a friend of mine had an MA Audio amp pushing first a pair of Alpine Type R 10's then changed to a single Kicker 12" L7. Sound quality was decent, even though some of his wiring had little to be desired lol. Too small of a guage run to the subs, so it had a loss of power big time, but still sounded good.

Even though I'm a hardcore Kicker and Alpine fan, I still think the MA Audio is good quality stuff.

What the heck?? MA Audio and Mobile Authority are the same company?? What are you guys smoking? Just cause they have a similar name abbreviation doesn't mean they have anything to do with each other. MA Audio has its own set of "lower end" economy stuff and "above ***" level products. www.maaudio.com

Anyways, the important thing has nothing to do with company affiliation. MA Audio is the best. But if you get the best that MA Audio has to offer, or you start getting at least in the mid-quality range....it is all competition level. So keep that in mind when getting their subs, ect. It's not SQ, it's SPL. But that is only the emphasis, as with the correct setup their speakers have plenty of SQ for the average person.

Let me put it this way. Hard Kore is their top-line products. I had a 10" sub from the next level down, Synergy. I run this 10 with a single 1200.1 JBL and it tears everyone elses setups apart. No distortion, just plenty of SPL and SQ to go around baby! It sounds like mid-quality dual 15s or a good set of dual 12s.

So yes, with MA Audio you can trust they deliver what they say they can.

Well, if they aren't the same people then how come both of the physical contact addresses are for the same place? It's the same thing like what Pyramid and Legacy did or still do. But I think those 2 are gone now. If I'm wrong, so be it, but it's what I have researched.

No, I was smoking crack I guess. Even their speakers are the same on a fundamental level. But it's funny how their competition speakers are like the mid-low grade MA Audio speaker.

Maybe MA Audio is Memphis Audio. Just kidding. MA Audio is good stuff. I have three amps with no complaints about power or SQ. I do believe that MA Audio and Visonik are the same company. They even had their boths set up together at the dB Drag World Finals.

I just bought a MA audio amp but its the new HK series and is a 800watt RMS @2ohm and its powering 2 JL 15w3v2 and they really pound...I love the amp, but i don't think that their subs are too great. Thats why i went with JL
