sub noise
i've had really bad sub noise before (a Bazooka tube), i had the RCA cables run under the dash by all the other electrical, i decided to move it and run it under the carpet of the driver side foot area. it went away...for a week. the sound is back. my current setup is running it under the carpet, under the plastic runners on the side going through the rear where the 6x9s are under the little plastic arm rest, and then going to the back. what can i do to solve the sound problem. it goes on when the radio and cd are in, and it stays on even when i put the volume all the way down. what could the problem be? they're monster rca's...or can it be the power cables?...these are run on the right side of the car the positive straight from the batt. negative to bare metal in the trunk. any help would be appreciated thanks. btw...everything is Monster.

no eric, it's not noise like that, its a constant loud tone generated just from the bazooka tube, and not from the speakers, it does not have to do with anything from the engine's rpms. note that it does this also when the car is off. what i really wanna know is if my rca cables setup is correct.

Is it the same sound as when you try to plug in a RCA to something when it running?
Could be a loose connection with the RCA's
When you moved them you prob fit them snuggly and they could have over time gotten 'loose'. I've never had any RCA's do that, but that could be the case.
Also check and make sure there aren't any cuts on the RCA's. If the RCA's are good then I would prob say get the amp/sub checked. The amp I had for my home theater sub went south and as soon as it powered up it just hummed.
