Subs: MA Audio or Adire?

I am looking at either two 12" MA Audio D6s or two 12" Adire Shiva Mark 3s. I will be powering them with a JBL 1200.1 so power isnt really an issue. I am looking for both SPL and SQ, but would prefer more SPL than SQ. The only real problem I see with the D6s is that they are dual 6ohm voice coils. The Sivas are dual 8 ohm. I can get the Shivas for $125 each and the D6s for $99+s/h. I have heard good things about both subs. As of now I am leaning towards the Sivas. Also, the D6s require .5-.75 sealed and the Shivas require 1.25-2.5 sealed. So the box will be smaller with the D6s.
Any thoughts?
MA D6

Adire Shiva

hands down, shiva. however, they do require a decent sized box. but still, shiva all the way

Dang, I didnt realize that the MA Audios were that bad. Alot of people in town seem to say that they are pretty nice, but none seem to have them

I have thought about getting just one Brahma but they are like $350 for one ten. Would one Brahma 10 out perform two shiva 12s? Brahma 12s are like $385, so is it really worth the extra 100-135 bucks?

Thanks for the help

Brian

Most people will agree that a Brahma is worth the additional cost, but if you're on a budget it's foolish to spend all your money on the sub. A shiva will still work very well, and will allow you to spend a couple bucks more on other equipment, like your components and amplification.

personally i like the looks of MA AUDIO but maybe like stated before they are all show no blow so i don't know i've never heard a Adire bump but by the look of it, it might hit hard i don't know.

might hit hard.. heheh... i think the brahma is definitely worth the extra bucks, and the bp1200.1 meshes really nice with the brahma.. but the shiva(s) will be great too

I say go with the shiva. I'm planning on getting two Brahma 12's for my next setup.

I can say that the Synergy series MA Audio subs will SERIOUSLY slam, if powered right (try a 10" that actually runs best with a 4 ohm JBL 1200.1)

They do give a little on the sq tho...
