Do lots of research and listen to what it sounds like in peoples cars before you pick because you will have to live with it.
that there is probably the most important thing that you will ever read reguarding car audio. we can tell you that Pyramids are the absolute best subs you will ever buy and you will never buy anything better then pyramid ever! But......untill you go and hear them for yourself you wont know how ****ty they are. personal experience and opinion are the best thing you can ever do. i have been driving around with a broken faceplate for over a year now, but i have the money to buy a new one, my problem is finding one i am going to like, and one that i can live wiht cause i WILL NOT buy this deck just to find another one i like better. listen to what your friends have. go to trade shows or whatever and ask to hear the system before you buy it. go to best buy and play with all the features of the little car stereo thingys(thats just fun!). make your own judgement, we are just here to give ours.

The link doesnt work, or else I'd read it. It would be great to not have to buy more wire for the head unit, I will ahve to get enough as it is!

Hey, thats good info. I'll have to check and see if Alpine has done something different with their headunits to make them really need a different wiring setup.

I have had no problem with my JVC

I know a lot of people here do not like JVC, but I have never had any problems with my KDSX8250. It is from their arsenal line, and I think that it is a fine radio. It has a lot of nice features for the price, and it has great sound quality. Just a thought.
