Nope. If your head unit doesn't play MP3's or WMA's, you're stuck with normal cda (or wav) files and can't fit more than 16-20 per cd most of the time. Make sure you're using the bigger cd-r's (700mb/80minute)... thought I haven't seen the old smaller size in a long time, so you probably have the big ones.
Get a new head unit if you must have more songs per cd That's unfortunately the only solution.

Get the 700mb/80min CD-Rs. I use Nero which allows me to add CD text and overburn discs.

i've used a lot, ahead Nero allows over burning, which i like. Sometimes i can get like 23-24 on there. Depends on song size.
I have a CD with 24 songs on it with about 16 minutes left... they're smaller type songs though. 2-3 minutes each

Converted to Nero from EZ finally after 3 new burners would not work with EZ. The only thing I don't like about Nero is the un-intuitive cross-fading. Ah well, the price of faster burning w/ text

It's possible to get more songs on a CD, but I don't know if they will play correctly on a CD player. Open up the .wav files in an audio editing program, and save it with a lower frequency rate or bitrate. That will lower the size of the file, allowing for more songs.
...Of course, they're gonna sound like crap though.

Well, camaro6spd, since you flamed me on the remote turn on thread and think I don't really know anything, I'm hesitant to help you out.
But whatever here it is anyway:
When you're done making your compilation and you're ready to burn, go to File -> Compilation Info. Enter the CD title and artist here. Double click each track to enter CD Text info for them. When you burn the CD, use disc-at-once, or it won't work.
I expect an apology on my desk by noon tomorrow.
