Lanzar Head Units?
Any experience with them? Particularly this one -
Lanzar VBD1500MP
@ Etronics for $120.
Good cheap cd player, perhaps?

I hate sony. Completely overrated ****. But I'm just wondering if for $120, 60x4 max power (maybe 21 rms?) with MP3 playback isn't a bad deal for a cheap cd player.

They make headunits now??
I've only had experience with their old OptiDrive amps (don't confuse them with the new Opti series) and DC series subs. Absolutly amazing stuff, take a beating and never miss a beat. But I have read that their new stuff isnt nearly as good....but who knows if its really true.
I would highly recommend looking into Alpines, Kenwood, Pioneer etc lower lines of head units. They have been proven over time and lots of sales.

I'm going to get an Alpine 7894 or Kenwood Excelon X959 later down the line... I just need a decent little cheap unit for now. So no one's tried this guy out?

Why don't you try www.ebay.com
If you are looking to something cheap to last a couple of months.....
Well Wal-Mart has CD players are they guaranteed to crap out at about 3-5 months of use........Although you might loose a CD in the process cause the player won't eject it....

It's really a shame to see the Lanzar name cheapened like that. back in the good old days, Lanzar produced some high quality stuff that could rival that of Rockford & Kicker. Then they went bankrupt and got bought out by Pyramid. For a while they kept the high quality line and just added some "budget" lines. Now it looks like the whole line is getting turned into crap.

I mwith jim85iroc, I had two lanzar 10's a long time ago and they were the best subs around. About 2 years ago i got a lanzar amp and it was a piece of junk. I would really consider pioneer for any headunits. I have always had goodluck with them.

Yeah, but MP3 under $150? I think I'll grab one next week, just for S&G.
I'll review it up here for you guys.

It's RoadGear - ABSOLUTE ****
It sucks massively. Like $75. Horrible, and wouldn't even play most of the time. I brought it back!
