Any ideas or pics of hidden or stealth sub installs?
I just ordered to US Acoustics amps yesterday **USX2100 and USX4065** Today I'm ordering 2 Alpine Type-S subs *.65 cu ft each*. In a few weeks I'm going to start installing it all. Me and my dad will be building the box and amp rack for them. But I don't want people 2 be able 2 see subs if they just look in the window. I want them to be sort of hidden. Me and my dad aren't fiberglass people but he is good with cutting wood and stuff. I'm just trying 2 figure out ways to cover my subs and amps so they wouldn't be noticeable. Is there any sort of carpet I could put over the sub? I thought about having a box built 2 fit down in the well, then have the subs in... then put like some quarter inch or half inch pieces of wood around the edge of the box and carpet over that. Is there any good carpet for this? The carpet wouldn't be touching the subs that way because it would be raised up a little bit. But would the carpet muffle out the sound any or is there some carpet for this? Thanks!

you could put a grill over the sub, and then cover the grill with acoustically transparent cloth (maybe in a square or something, sp it doesnt look like you just covered your speaker grill..) like you find for home speakers.. at least its not quite as obvious as a subwoofer grill...

Could take out the spare tire and cargo box on either side and put them in there. Just have them ported into the cabin and they will not be noticeable and very hard to steal. Box could be pricy if you didnt make it yourself
