Wiring 2 subs on a 5-Channel amp??
I'm thinking about getting 2 Alpine Type-S 10's in my car. Plus a set of Polk 6½'s in the 6x9 spot. Then I'll have my polk comp set up front... 6½'s... and 2 10's... but I'm limiting myself to $500 to spend on this... I can get the 2 10's for i think like $151.98. Then I'm gonna wait around on eBay and pick up the speakers for around $30 or less. Then use the rest on an amp. I just want 1 amp though that is $300 or less. Can I use a good 5-Channel amp on this setup? I saw this Kicker 5-Channel...
Kicker IX405D 5 channel amp
Key Features:
3-, 4-, 5-channel output
40 watts x 4 + 200 watts x 1 at 4 ohms
55 watts x 4 + 290 watts x 1 at 2 ohms
115 watts x 2 + 200 watts x 1 in bridged mode
Could I put both subs on a 5-channel amp like this? If I did on this amp how much power would each sub get? And should I get DVC 4-ohm... DVC 2-ohm... or SVC 4-Ohm
thanks guys!

it looks like you'll end up getting 290 watts (2 ohms) into the subs.. so 145 per sub.. eww.. and then 40 watts (4 ohms) into the 4 speakers.. the fact that you're spending 30 dollars on speakers kind of frightens me... i think for 500 dollars you could get a nicer system than that...

well i mean i got my $249 Polk EX2560 component set for $150 from a Circuit City because they had 2 get rid of the display items for the new stuff... I love them and I figured why not just go with the same series speakers but just the 6½" coaxial... the EX602a speaker. Then run them all with a good amp with around 50W to each speaker... i'm not looking for cheap stuff... but I dont' wanna go spend $100 on some 6½'s that I can get new on eBay for a lil cheaper... i'll just set a limit i wanna spend and wait... that's what i always do on there haha
